How it Began
DCE - Our Story!

In 2010 Dust Control Environmental was established, by current owner/MD Martin Gill, in a 4000 square foot office/garage space in the West Yorkshire town of Morley. With a dedicated team of 5, it was here that the first DCE prototype Dust Extraction Unit was developed.

Needs Must

As the business progressed and prototypes became sellable products, it soon became apparent that there was a lack of quality UK manufacturers. To guarantee reliability and business sustainability, some of the dust extractor manufacturing processes would have to be brought “in-house”. This dictated a move to larger premises.

Wakefield became the new DCE home in December 2015. It’s useful 14000 square feet enabling aspects of production, such as powder coating, to be carried out on site. Not only did this improve manufacturing timescales but also up lifted product quality as well as becoming more cost effective and eco-friendly.

The original team of 5 expanded to 20 employees (Apr 2024) culminating in a wealth of experience in design, engineering, installation and customer service.

At these premises, being very aware of our environmental impact, energy usage is being monitored so an action plan to lower DCE’s energy use and reduce carbon footprint can be put in place.

The Future is Clear

Dust Control Environmental have a continuing research and development policy which assures the launch of new products as well as the further development of firm favourites, that will broach environmental concerns by being more efficient and greener, accommodating customer requirements and the ever changing legislation and environmental concerns within the industry.

A further expansion of the Wakefield site is also planned to add a further 3000sqft to facilitate the extra storage and assembly space needed to support the businesses continual growth.

Made to Measure

With the use of the latest AutoCAD and 3D design software technology, bespoke schemes or a full turnkey provision can be delivered to ensure optimum efficiency of the dust extraction system is achieved.

Many of Dust Control Environmental’s key product features ensure the ease of installation, welfare considerations, durability and the flexibility to install where space may be an issue.

Our team of sales engineers are happy to visit site to assess requirements and talk through system options, operation and costs.
