Meet the Team

 

With decades of expertise, Martin is a highly respected figure in the dust extraction industry. Since founding DCE in 2010, he has led the company to remarkable growth and development, establishing a reputation for excellence. Martin is also an accomplished musician and in his spare time showcases his talent on the Eb Tuba as part of the renowned Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band.

 

Rachel is the driving force behind the welfare of the DCE team, ensuring that every detail—from HR to equipment requirements and corporate events—is seamlessly managed.

Rachel balances the workplace with her role of supporting the musical and sporting stars in her family, making her a valuable member of both teams.

 

Leading our Sales Team is Peter Gardiner. A fountain of industrial extraction knowledge and the ultimate role model in customer relationship building.

Always going that extra mile, Peter once scaled the heights of the iconic Forth Rail Bridge for a project. His reward at the end? – A rivet (and the order of course)!

 

A talented sales person, Eddie is responsible for the continuing growth of our reseller and OEM market and is now spreading his wings into contract sales. His talent outside of work is certainly musical, once having been the lead singer in a rock band and his younger years taken up with a host of instruments such as piano, Saxophone and violin.

 

There is no stone that Darren will leave unturned to enhance our sales operations. An analytical mind developed from his time in criminal forensics he is an absolute workhorse.

When slowing the pace down Darren loves caravanning and weekends away with family and his dog.

 

With 20+ years of marketing experience, Sally drives the DCE brand forward and ensures our message reaches the right audience. A proud chicken keeper and great-great niece of renowned artist Henry Moore, Sally brings creativity and character to the team.

 

Lois leads the aftermarket team with boundless expertise, energy and enthusiasm. Providing clients with a one -stop-shop for their LEV needs, customer care is her main focus. When not talking filter bags and cartridges, Lois is more than happy to recount the time she once met Prince Harry and Tom Hardy (her favourite.)

 

Relatively new to the team Konrad has certainly impressed us with his sales & customer service prowess. His talents have led him to promotion already within the team to Aftermarket Sales. A dedicated Leeds fan and newly christened marathon runner, Konrad brings an international touch to the team with his proficiency in the Polish language.

       

Another experienced and qualified LEV engineer, Marc is helping us enhance our nationwide coverage by offering a more timely service in the midlands and southern regions. Any downtime Marc's young family allows, sees him watching Leicester City Football club (with a bag of pork scratchings in hand!)

 

Originally a Works Engineer on the shop floor George has shown dedication and undertaken extra training. He is now a qualified LEV engineer and is part of the Aftermarket Service Team. George's determination also transfers to his passion for Golf. Playing off 11.1 he is aiming for a single figure handicap.

 

A key figure in the contracts department Steve has played a massive part (employee of the year 2023) in leading us to be ISO 9001 & ISO14001 certified - no mean feat. Steve's role is a busy and diverse one looking after both clients and the contracts team alike. Reluctantly admitting to being a Huddersfield Town supporter, Steve also lifts weights- both in the gym and the pub!

Ryan heads up and steers the design and manufacturing team. His success at this role not only comes from his red hot CAD design skills but an aptitude for excellent communication and co-ordinating. Employee of the year 2023, Ryan can be found on the Oche at lunchtime and in frequent conversation, with anyone who will listen, about his beloved Leeds United!

A great success story. Since joining DCE as an apprentice at 16, Josh has gone from strength to strength in the business. Learning his craft on the job, he has achieved excellent CAD design and problem solving skills along with a deep understanding of the business. Josh frequents Old Trafford as a Manchester United supporter and also plays at an amateur level, be that 11 or 5 a-side.

>With an armful of accreditations and time earned experience, Andy is a certified commissioning, LEV testing engineer and trouble shooter in one. As one of the longest serving team members, he is a recipient of the DCE's employees' employee of the year. A lover of the outdoors and a spot of wild camping, weekends see Andy exploring the UK countryside.

 

One of DCE's Contract Engineers, Johann is an important conduit between the client, manufacturing and installation teams. He has worldwide experience in contracts management, having worked and lived in many countries. Johann tops the multi-lingual score board with an impressive understanding of 5 languages. Recently becoming a proud grandad he is also a member of a rowing club.

 

Tony is highly experienced design engineer within the air quality, ducting and dust extraction industry. One of the newer members of the team he is already making his mark. Outside of work Tony takes part in country sports and enjoys driving fast cars.

 

Always a smile on his face, Foreman Liam leads the works engineering team from the front. Ensuring quality manufacturing, timely despatch and an extremely organised shop floor Liam runs a tight crew and ship. Outside of work Liam is yet another Man. Utd. fan and can also be seen kicking the odd ball or 2 himself in 5 or 11 a-side matches.

 

Adrian is the king of multitasking. From delivery and collections, forklift off loading and product assembly his job certainly keeps him busy. A lifelong fan of Wakefield Trinity rugby league he also spends time watching formula one either on TV or at Silverstone with his son.

 

The master of the powder coating booth, John ensures our DCE dust extractors go out looking their best with a smart durable finish. Adding another international element to the team, John speaks various languages which obviously includes his native Portuguese.

 

Involved in the fabrication and assembly of the DCE units Jamie is also turning his hand to mastering powder coating as part of our in house processes. Away from the hustle and bustle of the workshop Jamie loves potting the odd snooker ball, kicking a ball around a 5-a-side pitch. He is another Manchester United supporter.

 

Samantha does what it says on the tin! Another recent addition to the team, her background in charity and corporate businesses brings ideas and innovations. She has already played a big part in influencing our new finance and sales systems. Having worked for a charity supporting people with hearing deficiencies, Samantha can proudly converse in British Sign Language.

 

Excel wizard and data king Rob is more than just a purchaser. His expertise has enabled us to strategically and easily roll out new systems to help the growth of DCE. A great help to us all, especially when the computer says no! Rob assists the team in getting it right with systems and processes. Part of the DCE lunchtime darts team and winner of employee of the year 2024, his life outside work is busy with his young family.
