Supporting National Apprenticeship Week

This week is National Apprenticeship Week. What better way to celebrate, than introducing Dust Control Environmental’s very own apprentice – Tyler.

Tyler joined Dust Control Environmental (DCE), back in September, as an Apprentice Fabricator. He has jumped straight in with enthusiasm. Showing an immediate aptitude for assembly and the fabrication of our dust filter units Envirojet W-Series and the Typhoon series.

Fitting in with the team Tyler, will, throughout his apprenticeship, grow his skill set, especially in dust collectors. This route to career development gives him the advantage of gaining hands on experience alongside his college learning.

Engaging with Apprenticeship Schemes is equally important for DCE. It is well documented that the number of people choosing careers in the engineering sector has taken a downturn. This is especially true when the sector becomes a bit more specialised – such as dust control and extraction. Investing in an apprenticeship gives the opportunity of passing on knowledge and practical expertise to the next generation of engineers. In doing so it helps to future proof Great British Manufacturing.

Tyler is be seen commenting on why he chose engineering in the above video supporting National Engineering Day last year.
Thank you West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services for the use of the video.

As you can see Tyler loves what he does and gaining a qualification the hands-on way is one that definitely suits him. DCE are more than happy to have him as part of the team.
